“Ultimately, for me, art is not just about creating but about communicating. It is about offering something that others can see and feel”

From a young age, my life has been deeply intertwined with art, a connection that has profoundly shaped both my personal and professional journey. Growing up in a family where both parents were talented artists, I was not only exposed to the world of creative expression but also guided in the technical and conceptual aspects of the craft. Art was more than a hobby or extracurricular activity, it was a language, a way of thinking and feeling that permeated every aspect of my upbringing. I learned early on about the nuances of color, form, and composition, but more importantly, I was encouraged to view the world through an artistic lens: to question, observe, and find beauty in the ordinary and the abstract.

This sense of purpose led me to pursue formal studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. My time there was transformative, not only because I honed my technical skills as a graphic artist but also because I was introduced to a more intellectual approach to creating art. I was exposed to a broad spectrum of artistic philosophies, from classical traditions to avant-garde movements, which enriched my understanding of Art as an evolving dialogue between emotion, intellect, and technique. During this period, I began to grasp the deeper implications of art as both personal expression and cultural force.

While studying, I had the opportunity to work in a renowned art gallery, initially as a weekend assistant, but this part-time role quickly grew into a full-time career spanning nearly two decades. For 18 years, I immersed myself in the gallery world, where I not only learned the business side of art but also the finer points of curation, client relations, and mentoring emerging talent. The gallery became a second home—a place where I could expand my knowledge and skills and contribute to a broader artistic community. This experience was invaluable, as it helped me develop a keen eye for quality and originality and gain a deep understanding of the shifting tastes and trends within the art market.

Now, with the experience and insights I have gained, I am opening my own art gallery—a space where I can fully express my vision, where I showcase established and emerging talents from around the world, and build deeper connections with artists and collectors.

I have always trusted my intuition when selecting and discovering artists. My choices are guided by a deeply rooted belief in authenticity and personal connection. To offer something truly meaningful, you must first believe in it yourself, and that belief stems from an honest relationship with your own sensitivities. Ultimately, for me, art is not just about creating but about communicating. It is about offering something that others can see and feel—something that sparks reflection or touches the heart. Art, as I see it, is an ongoing conversation—a dialogue that continues to evolve, deepen, and inspire.
