Daniel O’Toole makes abstract colour field paintings that respond to nature and natural phenomena. He has a fascination with natural phenomena and investigates visual perception in particular the way light refracts to form a rainbow, the colors and shapes of a flame and how those organic shapes are an endless abstraction of form etc.
