Blue Roaming takes its form from a spherical flower motif that originated in Huang’s earlier paintings. Although this flower does not represent any specific species, its form might recall a Peony rose, Camellia, or any richly layered bloom. The base structure of this sculpture is made of Fiberglass what makes it very strong but also light in weight.

Each petal is carefully hand-painted with a blue gradient that fades from deep to light, starting at the center of the flower and radiating outward. The surface features strong Eastern imagery, including patterns inspired by blue-and-white porcelain, red seals with white characters, and Chinese text. It also includes recurring elements Huang”s work. Fish and Swallows, which are drawn from his personal life and represent youth and freedom. These symbols are deeply meaningful to Huang, Po-Hsun.
