KRINSTINSKY
Sacha Krinstinsky (born 1977 in Namur, Belgium, now based in Antwerp) highlights the power of abstraction in his art. Through photography, found images, and paintings, he explores the interplay between human connection and individuality in today’s visually driven world.
Growing up in Namur, Krinstinsky was influenced by French visual culture and his father, who was also a painter. After relocating to Antwerp, he studied Fine Arts at Sint-Lucas, refining his skills in applied arts and mixed media.
Krinstinsky’s soul inspiration for his landscape paintings began from the incredible journey his grandfather undertook while escaping the chaos of his homeland by foot during the world war. During this journey he wrote letters, and carefully wrote down the steps he took. He eventually stranded in Namur, Belgium which became his safe haven. There, he found love and was given the new name Krinstinsky.
Sacha Krinstinsky has now recreated the path his grandfather took, and paints the landscapes that were seen through this path.
His series ‘Days to a name’ are an ode to his grandfather’s journey to an identity.

Reflection Moments
A reflection in water can take on any color, shifting and transforming with movement. It has no fixed form, no defined boundaries. My Reflection Pieces embody this fluidity—symbolizing the ever-changing nature of identity and perception.” Krinstinsky
